PUNTA PRIMA has a sandy, safe beach - except when red flags are flying indicating possible undertow in rough conditions.
In the event of any incident the Red Cross has a post next to Sebastians Bar on the beach and a fast inflatable launch for rescue. An ambulance can be on the scene within under 10 minutes from the Mahon hospital.
Fortunately real incidents are rare and mainly due to individuals ignoring the rules of the beach - swimming whilst inebriated etc etc.
Do please be careful to follow the Red Cross advice on swimming conditions and you will have a lovely holiday in Punta Prima.
PUNTA PRIMA has many facilities, pubs and good restaurants to take you away from the boring buffet -- same day after day - that are served in the all-inclusive hotels in the area.
People want to get out of that environment and try something different with a touch of local colour and to meet residents, Spanish and English alike.
Try some of the places shown on our plan of Punta Prima. I am sure you will be agreeably surprised at the high quality and pleasant, professional service afforded to you without exception in this, one of Menorca´s oldest and best-loved resorts.
There is soon due to be work commencing over next winter to pave the sea-front, closing it to traffic and making a totally safe walking precinct for children and the elderly, with flowers, palm trees and benches.
Car parking will be in a large new car park to be sited at the rear of the beach and all the street lighting improved. It will be a prime resort and worth coming back for another holiday just to see the improvements and, of course, to drink the beer at the Anchor English Pub !
